The year 1815 was a pivotal one in English and European History. It brought to an end over 20 years of warfare throughout the continent. Our study will examine the new country and continent that emerged and look at the new forces in society. No need to contact me in advance. Just turn up.
Our Group members decide on a range of books that they would like to read and discuss over the coming months. This results in a wide and enjoyable selection.
Open house for problems concerning PCs, laptops, tablets, smart phones, Kindles, iPads and most other things of that ilk! Whether your problem is with hardware or software - just turn up with your problematic device and we will see what we can do. The group is suitable for mixed abilities, though experience with drawing helps, as work is self-directed. At each session we make observational drawings in cafes and other public spaces, including outdoors, mainly in central Bury St Edmunds.
Venue to be confirmed. This group will look at a generous selection of cantos from each of the three books, aiming to complete the journey in about three terms, Autumn, from September 2018, Winter/Spring 2019, and Autumn, from September 2019, (avoiding the summer months).

As the existing philosophy group, Philosophy Matters, is full, we are a parallel philosophy Group which has started this autumn (2018) to keep up with demand.
