Trudy RobertsTake and distribute the Committee minutes and Agenda each month. Maintain and up-date records.
Cliff HindOrganise and run U3A wide events such as the Christmas Social as directed by the committee. Recommend trips etc. to the committee for further consideration/action
Barbara BurnThe Lecture Secretary is responsible for arranging the monthly lectures, finding and contacting the speakers with an aim to providing an interesting and informative programme of talks for the year. One has to liaise with the speakers directly to agree their fee and then arrange for this to be paid on the day of the lecture.
Study Groups Liaison
Peter RoseAn attention to detail and reasonable computer skills is important. Organise the text for study group entries in the annual u3a brochure. Help IT by providing study group details to keep the website current. Support, assist existing study group leaders and encourage new study groups. Organise a study group leader meeting annually.
Trudy RobertsThe role of the Publicity secretary is to encourage and collate all the news relating to U3A in Bury St Edmunds from the committee members and group leaders each month and put it together in a newsletter format to go out to members via the website.
Andy KingMaintain the website in liaison with service provider. Support committee and general members with their IT needs. Keep the organizations IT hardware uptodate.
Kate KingOrganise and support the volunteer fire stewards and office duty volunteers. Complete the lecture and office rota for the volunteers and Committee members.
Elizabeth BarhamOrganise educational/interest trips with the backing of the committee, outside those organised by the relevant study groups.
