CAN YOU HELP THE TRAVEL STUDY GROUP?
The Travel Study Group meets on the first Monday of each month and usually has a talk from a Speaker. Sometimes this is a u3a member, and sometimes a visitor. But this needs someone to organise the Speakers, and, at the moment, there is no-one in the Group who is able to do this.
Could you help by taking on the work of Speaker Secretary for the Travel Study Group? There will be help and advice for this and you will be very welcome in the Group.
Please contact the Travel Study Group Convenor: Frances Lewis, frances_lewis11@hotmail.com

A Vote of Thanks to the u3a Committee
Following the AGM one of our members very kindly asked to post her thanks to the committee –
“Along with my husband, Paul, I was present at the AGM last Tuesday and thought that it went very well. After listening to Reports from the Chair and the Treasurer I intended to propose a vote of thanks to the Committee under item 7 of the agenda but missed the opportunity because the majority of those present were rushing off to catch buses and I had to get to an appointment by 12.15. Would it be possible for you to find an appropriate spot on the website to publish what I would have said? If not, I’d be grateful if you would pass our personal thanks to your colleagues on the Committee.” Yours sincerely, Anne Siklos
