The English Medieval Literature group (previously Chaucer Group).
We’ve so far read texts ranging from Beowulf to Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales and Gawain and the Green Knight. We’re currently reading a selection of English Mystery Plays.
We are currently reading Chaucer’s ‘Troilus and Criseyde’ in Nevill Coghill’s translation, published by Penguin, acknowledged by many experts to be Chaucer’s most accomplished work.
